Blood Treatment #20

I started the Blood Treatment Therapy last July.  When I first started I was having so many heart and blood pressure issues.  My heart would literally RACE for absolutely NO reason.  It didn’t matter if I had been in bed for hours and it was in the middle of the night, sitting at a desk or standing up somewhere.  The racing would be so bad I’d get super dizzy, sometimes pass out or become lethargic and when my heart would finally slow down I felt like I had just got done running a marathon.  Often it would take the rest of the day for me to recover from that.  It literally felt like my heart was going to explode when those episodes happened…and they started happening at least once a day.  My Cardiologist said it was because the Lyme Spirochetes were attacking my heart and slowing it down and causing electrical circuit issues (I had 1st Degree Heart Block) and then to compensate my heart would speed up and race. This also resulted in my blood pressure doing all sorts of weird things.  They put me on a steroid to help regulate everything…this helped…but didn’t fully take care of the problem until I started these Blood treatments that Kill the Lyme in your blood.  Within just TWO weeks of doing these treatments my heart issues started calming down.  I now no longer have to check my blood pressure several times a day and I only get the heart racing about 1x/month instead of 1x/day! !!  Super awesome!! Praise the Lord!  I also am only taking my blood pressure medicine 1x/day now instead of 2 or 3 times like I was last Summer.  My Dr said they don’t usually start seeing HUGE improvements in Lyme Patients until Blood Treatment #20….and TODAY WAS TREATMENT NUMBER TWENTY!!!  😀  Every patient is so different…so I don’t have an exact number of when I will be all better.  But I know that each treatment takes me a little closer and I am excited to hit the #20 mark.  Keeping it killed off in my blood stream by this treatment is HUGE in my progress to getting better…but we also have to use other medications and natural things to kill it off in all my other organs/tissue/muscle/joints etc…  Fun Stuff!  😛  🙂

My Brother Benjamin took me to my appointment today.  He is the most incredible 15 year old ever!  He is working on getting his hours in for Drivers Ed so that he can get his license in June when he turns 16. 🙂  Taking me to my appointments has been a good way for him to practice driving. 😉  I love him so much!  He is one awesome guy!

I was in so much pain and feeling so sick today that I just wanted to stay curled up in a little ball and NOT go to my Blood Treatment today.  But part of getting better is fighting…and fighting means not giving up.  So I decided not feeling good was the worst reason ever to not go to an appointment….and so I went. 😉

When we got home I even made myself do my FIVE MINUTE MARATHON TRAINING WALK!!! 😉  No, I didn’t *feel* up to walking….AT ALL.  But I’m not going to let my body get into accepting that it’s sick.  MOVING (gently and safely) is so important and critical for recovery.  So right now….that means 5 min walks for me. 🙂  DEEP healing breaths..getting my lymph system moving from the walk and just enjoying the beauty of the great outdoors.  5 min walks are a far cry from the 5 mile runs I used to love to do.  But no worries…one day…I will be back!  🙂

My infection is still bad…but is feeling a little better today!  Praise God!  Hopefully a few more days of medicine and natural anti-viral killers and I’ll be back to my “normal”. 🙂

Took a nice HOT and LOOOOONG epsom salt bath tonight.  That always helps me with the pain level…at least a little. 🙂  Curling up on the couch now with my new book, “THE TICK SLAYER”.  It’s about an athlete who was taken out of her game for 5 years because of Lyme Disease, but is now back and stronger and healthier than before!  She is my new hero and her story will one day be mine as well.  After I finish reading the book I’ll write a review on here about it.  So far, it’s really good. 🙂

Thanks for reading and have a beautiful and blessed night, cherishing each moment and not taking any breath or any loved ones for granted.  ❤ ❤

Keep the Fight Strong, HOPEFUL and *always* keep Smiling,

Lots of Love,

Monica

So glad you’re seeing improvements! What kind of blood treatment is it? How does it work? I’m super curious now!

Hey there!! Yes…improvement is always so encouraging! The blood treatment is called a UBI (Ultraviolet Blood Irradiation). Basically, they take out some of your blood…put it thru a machine and the Ultraviolet light is able to kill the Lyme cells and then they put your lyme-free blood back into you. Your body still has to process the die-off from it…but I’ve met several Lyme Patients who this treatment has played a huge role in their recovery process. 🙂 If you have any other questions…let me know!

Heya! I realize this is sort of off-topic but I had to ask.
Does running a well-established website like yours require a massive amount work?
I’m brand new to writing a blog however I do write in my journal on a daily basis. I’d like
to start a blog so I will be able to share my own experience and feelings online.
Please let me know if you have any kind of recommendations or tips for brand new aspiring bloggers.
    Appreciate it!
